1. Where are you located? Where do I pick up my order? Do you deliver?
   All orders can be picked up in the North Knoxville (Halls Crossroads) area. I will deliver within a 20-minute radius (only for orders over $50). I charge for delivery based on mileage/distance.
2. How early should I place an order?
   Because we are usually booked a few weeks in advance, we recommend a 2-week advance notice. We try our best to accommodate short-notice orders if there is availability. For events (such as weddings), we recommend a 4-6 month advance notice.
3. How does payment work?
   No order is considered officially booked on my calendar until it is paid in full. If another client is looking to book on the same day, I will book whoever completes their payment first. Orders over $100 can be split into 2 payments, but all must be paid in full one week from the order date. 
4. Is there a booking contract?
   For large event orders (i.e., 2-tier & 3-tier cakes), a booking contract is required. This helps us both be on the same page with expectations as well as the policies and procedures of the business. It also holds me responsible to fulfill my obligations to you as a customer.
5. What payment methods are accepted?
   At this time, my preferred payment methods are Venmo or Paypal.
6. How is pricing calculated?
   Pricing includes the cost of ingredients used in making the baked goods as well as supplies, overhead, labor, and the value of my skill and expertise. For this reason, more extensive cakes cost more due to the involved time commitment.
7. What type of buttercream do you use?
   We use American buttercream on all of our cakes, cupcakes, and cookies.
8. Do I refrigerate my cupcakes or cakes?
   Refrigeration of our baked goods is not recommended, as it may dry out the cake. Because our cupcakes and cakes are piped using American buttercream, they do not have an extended shelf life. Our cupcakes and cakes can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days, however, we recommend all of our products be consumed within 24-hours for ultimate freshness.
9. Can I place an order for an event?
   Yes. We provide cupcakes and cakes for large events, including parties, anniversaries, baby showers, wedding showers, and company events. Please contact us to place an order for a large event.
10. Why should I order from The Buttercream Mill?
    Our floral cupcakes and cakes are hand-crafted one petal at a time. We consider our creations to be art and we strive to create the most realistic flowers possible. Each cupcake/cake order is unique and every little detail is hand-piped, something you will not find on a grocery-store shelf.
